When Miss Kate Vance became Mrs. Kate Fryrear (and other weekend things)

This weekend was a whirlwind of excitement!

Friday night was date night with my main squeeze with sushi and a showing of Perks of Being A Wallflower (which deserves/will have it’s own post).

Let’s just say that the book defines me and the movie was everything I wanted it to be!

Saturday started with a coffee date with Dannica and then a breakfast date with Steven. And then I delved into full wedding mode!

New dress from eShakti!

My best friend Karen’s sister Kate got married this weekend! I have known Kate and the Vance family forever and I was so happy to be included on this special day.

Held at McMenamins Edgefield, it was such a wonderful/joyous/heartfelt wedding that I have ever been to! Karen and I stayed overnight in the Ringo Starr room, which was so quirky and so fitting of McMenamins.

And Kate (the new Mrs. Fryrear) was a stunning bride! And it was such a delight to finally meet her main man Kirk.

And anytime I get to see Karen is always awesome.

Sunday was spent drinking coffee with Karen on Edgefield’s wrap around porch, taking down stuff from the wedding, and recuperating from the night’s festivities!

Later that night, Steven and I went to A Chrous Line. My take? I really, really didn’t like the show. And the lighting/sound was weird the entire performance. They have some kinks they need to work out, that’s for sure!

What did you do this weekend?
