Couch to 5k: COMPLETED!

That’s right, I stuck it out and I have completed my 8 week  Couch to 5k training program! (see “Goodbye Couch, Hello 5k!“) I am now a proud graduate and a fearless runner!

Ok, maybe not fearless. But I guess I can consider myself a runner now (shin splints and all!). I am excited to continue to build up my miles every week as well as continue speed work!

All in preparation for my first race in March! Ah!

  1. Congrats! I literally just printed out the workout routine for this last week. My New Year’s Resolution is to run a 5K on Mother’s Day for the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure.

    Any tips??

  2. I really want to get back into running, though with my work schedule I’m finding it hard to have free time, not to mention the Ohio weather makes consistent running hard. I haven’t ran for about 4 years since I tore my ACL. Has getting ready for a 5K been hard for you?

      • My ACL tear came just over three and a half years ago, but I also tore my meniscus in the same knee during the same injury. While the ACL has healed fairly well, the meniscus tear still causes me problems.
